Position Overview
Are you a seasoned professional in State and Local Taxation eager to contribute to a dynamic team? If you possess the expertise to navigate complex tax regulations and support business objectives, this role may align with your career goals.

As a Senior Analyst in State and Local Taxation at ASSA ABLOY Americas, you will collaborate with a team of skilled professionals, focusing on the state tax reporting responsibilities for our extensive US Consolidated Group, which generates revenues exceeding $8 billion. Success in this position requires close collaboration with internal finance teams and the ability to nurture existing relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and file state separate and combined corporate income and franchise tax returns for various domestic legal entities using OneSource tax software.
  • Assist in the preparation and filing of quarterly state income tax estimates and extensions.
  • Maintain accurate state apportionment schedules.
  • Support the computation of the state tax provision.
  • Conduct research on various state and local tax issues relevant to the business and monitor changes in state tax legislation.
  • Help resolve state tax notices and liaise with state tax authorities.
  • Gather data for responses to state income tax audits.
  • Provide additional assistance on corporate tax projects as necessary.

Qualifications

  • 3 to 7 years of experience in state income tax.
  • Bachelor's and/or master's degree in accounting.
  • Experience with a Big 4 firm is preferred.
  • CPA and/or MST designation is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with OneSource Income Tax software.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong tax research capabilities, proactive approach, and goal-oriented mindset.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
