Job Overview

NorthHill Technology is seeking experienced professionals for the role of Senior Systems Engineering Specialist with a Secret Clearance to contribute to a significant Federal Program. The positions are available in various locations.

Role Focus
As a Senior Systems Engineering Specialist, you will be pivotal in delivering innovative solutions to address our client's expanding Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) requirements throughout the Digital Engineering landscape. Your expertise will guide our clients in MBSE practices, ensuring alignment with their strategic objectives. This position emphasizes client delivery while also engaging in the development of internal capabilities to enhance our MBSE offerings. You will tackle complex MBSE challenges, broaden our digital service capabilities across various systems and software domains, and create content to strengthen our internal delivery capabilities.

Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will collaborate with a diverse team of engineers and project groups to devise model-based systems engineering solutions. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and maintaining system models using recognized MBSE tools and methodologies to depict system architecture, requirements, behaviors, and interconnections.
  • Preparing comprehensive technical documentation, reports, and presentations to effectively communicate engineering solutions and insights to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Staying informed about the latest advancements in MBSE methodologies and technologies to enhance your professional skills and contribute to the organization's growth.
Required Qualifications
To excel in this position, candidates should possess the following qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience applying systems engineering principles to intricate systems, including at least 3 years of experience with MBSE concepts and tools (notably Cameo/Catia Magic/Magic Systems of System Architect and SysML).
  • Familiarity with standard architectural frameworks, such as DoDAF and UAF.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • A willingness to learn and adapt to emerging technologies and engineering practices.
Preferred Qualifications
Additional desirable qualifications include:
  • OCSMP Certification.
  • INCOSE SEP Certification.
  • U.S. citizenship with an active Secret Security Clearance or the ability to obtain one.
  • Professional knowledge of the Aerospace and Defense sectors.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as JavaScript, Groovy, and Python.
  • Experience in MBSE Tool Model Validation Suites.
  • Experience in customizing and integrating MBSE Tools.
  • Experience in training or mentoring others in MBSE tools or modeling languages.
