We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer at the Senior Associate level to enhance our team. The anticipated annual salary range for this position is between $120,000 and $140,000, complemented by performance-based bonuses.

Work Environment

This role offers a hybrid work schedule in select locations, requiring in-office presence a few days a week, while other locations may necessitate remote work with travel across the country.

Key Responsibilities

Utilize your expertise in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems to:

  • Conduct comprehensive property condition assessments (PCAs)
  • Provide accurate cost estimations
  • Review and critique building designs
  • Execute energy audits, system commissioning, forensic evaluations, and oversee construction management related to HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems
  • Engage with site personnel and clients effectively
  • Participate in a variety of projects that present unique challenges and opportunities for impactful contributions
  • Travel to various project sites as required

Qualifications and Skills

  • A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME), Electrical Engineering (BSEE), or Architectural Engineering (BSAE) with a focus on mechanical or electrical systems, along with a Professional Engineer (PE) license and a minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in engineering design and evaluation of building systems
  • Proven leadership capabilities and a successful track record in project management
  • Expertise in HVAC and plumbing systems, with a foundational understanding of electrical and fire protection systems
  • Familiarity with national and state building codes, as well as experience in facilities engineering, energy audits, commissioning, and sustainability consulting
  • Ability to merge sustainability interests with practical legal requirements to offer expert solutions
  • Skills in marketing services to both existing and prospective clients
  • LEED or CEM certifications are advantageous
  • Strong communication skills, organizational abilities, and multitasking proficiency are essential
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Bluebeam, PlanGrid, and Box software
  • A commitment to collaboration across disciplines and a dedication to continuous learning in the evolving field of MEP engineering

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment
  • Visual acuity to perform job duties, including reading from printed materials and screens
  • Capability to navigate construction sites and existing buildings, including traversing rough terrain
  • Ability to respond to hazardous situations and sounds promptly
  • Physical capability to ascend and descend ladders and stairs
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions and confined spaces
  • Willingness to travel approximately 25-50% of the time, depending on location.
