ROLE SUMMARY

The Senior Project Manager (Land Development) will oversee all aspects of Commercial Land Development projects within the Denver office. The ideal candidate will be responsible for project outcomes, ensuring the highest quality of deliverables, fostering relationships with new clients, and maintaining robust connections with existing clients through exemplary service. This position will provide leadership and direction to engineers and technicians assigned to the project team and will report to the Land Development Business Unit Leader.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Facilitate project coordination meetings with internal teams and external partners.
  • Conduct quality assurance and quality control for assigned projects.
  • Manage all phases of the project lifecycle, engaging clients, design teams, and internal staff.
  • Develop and oversee project schedules, plans, and budgets.
  • Prepare project billing and invoices, ensuring timely payment from clients.
  • Build and nurture business relationships with both new and existing clients.
  • Guide technical staff on project-related issues and engineering principles.
  • Contribute to the professional development of team members.
  • Represent the company at industry events and conferences.
  • Engage in new project interviews.
  • Support the execution of company strategic initiatives.
  • Draft and negotiate scopes of work, schedules, and fee proposals.
  • Assess company practices for continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Lead lessons learned sessions.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
  • In-depth knowledge of civil engineering design, plan preparation, and agency approvals in the Denver metro area and across Colorado.
  • Established business relationships with local, county, and state clients in Colorado.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; foster a collaborative team environment.
  • Proven leadership abilities; capable of guiding a motivated team in a dynamic setting.
  • Strong understanding of civil engineering design processes in commercial land development.
  • Exceptional project management capabilities.
  • Solid business acumen.
  • Effective communication skills and high emotional intelligence.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) registration in Colorado is required.
  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
  • At least 5 years of Project Management experience in Commercial Land Development, preferably within the Denver metro area.
COMPENSATION

The anticipated annual base salary range for this position is $110,000-$150,000, depending on experience and qualifications. The total compensation package may include a base salary and eligibility for participation in a discretionary annual bonus incentive program.
