We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team at True Anomaly. As a key member of our product-focused team, you will be responsible for designing and developing revolutionary propulsion systems for spacecraft.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of engineers to rapidly develop and test propulsion systems.
- Design and develop mechanical systems and components, including creating CAD models using NASTRAN and/or Solidworks.
- Assemble and test development and flight systems.
- Manage a team of mechanical engineers and CAD drafting technicians.
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering with training in analysis of structures.
- 3+ years of professional experience in mechanical design.
- Demonstrated experience with spacecraft level mechanical architecture, design as well as component design such as space mechanisms and packaging electronics for the space environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge in mechanical GD&T.
- Experience with configuration control, MES and PLM tools.
- Proficiency in CAD tools in Solidworks.
- Passion for the space industry.
- Demonstrated ability to work with a multidisciplinary team of engineers.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Master's degree in mechanical engineering.
- 5+ years experience in development and production of space systems.
- Proficiency in structural analysis tools such as NASTRAN or similar.
- Experience with equipment operation in vibration facilities.
- Base Salary: $144,000 - $175,000.
- Equity + Benefits including Health, Dental, Vision, HRA/HSA options, PTO and paid holidays, 401K, Parental Leave.
- Ability to maintain or obtain TS//SCI clearance.
- Work Location: This role will be fully onsite at our GravityWorks factory.
- Work environment is in a standard office, working at a desk or in a production factory.
- Physical demands may include frequent standing, sitting, walking, bending, and lifting or carrying items up to 20lbs.
