Overview
The Senior Process Engineering Specialist will collaborate with project teams to develop exceptional designs for various initiatives, including energy, industrial, healthcare, transportation, and governmental projects. This role involves engaging with the project team throughout the design and construction phases, adjusting process strategies based on budgetary limits, design specifications, or client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead process design initiatives from initial concept through to final design.
- Revise and assess production drawings for diverse projects, encompassing energy facilities, industrial complexes, healthcare systems, and government installations.
- Engineer process components tailored to project specifications as directed by project leaders.
- Utilize comprehensive knowledge of established process engineering and design methodologies, standards, and regulations within the industry.
- Gather and analyze project-related data as requested by project leaders.
- Update drawings provided by senior engineers to ensure accuracy within various CAD software.
- Prepare materials for client presentations, review shop drawings, and manage contract administration for the design of energy, industrial, healthcare, and governmental projects.
- Conduct field inspections, measurements, or calculations for both public and private sector clients.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Adhere to all company policies and standards.
Compensation
The anticipated salary range for this position is between $120,000 and $160,000 annually. This range is in accordance with local and state regulations and is influenced by factors such as individual qualifications, experience, and work location. The overall compensation package includes a base salary and eligibility for a discretionary year-end incentive bonus program.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field from an ABET-accredited institution, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in process engineering, preferably in a consulting environment.
- Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree in Chemical or related Engineering Technology from an ABET-accredited program and successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam, along with 3 years of process engineering experience.
- Or a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
- Proficient understanding of standard engineering practices and procedures.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
- Capable of working systematically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving context, demonstrating strong critical thinking skills.
- Proficient in standard engineering software and tools, including Microsoft Office Suite and process simulation software (e.g., Hysys, Aspen, HTRI).
- Strong attention to detail, with skills in facilitation, teamwork, organization, and problem-solving.
- Engineers in Training (EIT) Certification is preferred.
