Job Title: Sales Manager, Commercial Launch

At SpaceX, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Manager to join our Commercial Launch Sales Team. As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible for selling launch services to new and existing customers, including satellite operators and manufacturers, foreign governments, private astronauts, and space exploration pioneers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sell SpaceX launch services and manage customer relationships
  • Develop new sales opportunities in your designated region or markets
  • Utilize professional selling and business development techniques combined with product knowledge to market SpaceX launches and other services
  • Gather customer requirements and work with the product engineering team to iterate on and improve SpaceX product offerings
  • Meet with the executive team to review business development opportunities, strategy, and current market landscape
  • Represent SpaceX in various forums, including conferences, SpaceX launches, technology panels, etc.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of experience in a business development or sales role
  • 3+ years of technical sales experience
  • MBA or master's degree with a business or engineering-focused curriculum (preferred)
  • Independently motivated professional with a demonstrated track record of pursuing and closing complex deals
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Demonstrated technical aptitude for the products you've supported
  • Experience in aerospace sales with established networks of contacts, preferably in Europe
  • Strong understanding of launch vehicles or satellites
  • Strong analytical skills in business and technical issues
  • Completed sales training coursework in Miller Heiman's Strategic Selling, or a similar program
  • Multilingual
Additional Requirements:
  • Must be available to work extended hours and weekends as needed
  • Willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time to customer locations and other SpaceX locations
Compensation and Benefits:

Base salary is $110,000.00 to $150,000.00 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. You may also be eligible for long-term incentives, discretionary bonuses, and the ability to purchase additional stock at a discount through an Employee Stock Purchase Plan. You will also receive access to comprehensive medical, vision, and dental coverage, access to a 401(k) retirement plan, short and long-term disability insurance, life insurance, paid parental leave, and various other discounts and perks.

This position is also eligible for a sales bonus plan.
