Key Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Acquisition Professional with a minimum of six (6) years in Contract Specialist or Contracting and Procurement roles, particularly in the evaluation and formulation of acquisition policy strategies. Candidates should possess a proven track record in developing acquisition policies for federal agencies. Preferred candidates will have experience supporting an acquisition office within the Contract and Procurement Series, 1102. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assessing Acquisition policies and procedures to ensure compliance with current regulatory standards.
  • Generating reports from various government-wide databases, including the Contractor Performance Assessment Reporting System (CPARS), FPDS-NG, and SAM.
  • Contributing to the research, development, and maintenance of local Client regulations, provisions, clauses, and procurement guidance documents.
  • Acting as a technical expert for interpreting acquisition policies and providing well-researched advice to resolve current acquisition issues.
  • Serving as a point of contact for the Acquisitions and Policy staff in response to audit findings and inquiries from oversight entities.
  • Facilitating training sessions for Acquisitions Staff and stakeholders to enhance their understanding of acquisition regulations and processes.
  • Demonstrating strong public speaking and instructional skills.
  • Working independently under general administrative supervision and presenting findings logically.
  • Managing complex program demands with potentially conflicting priorities.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of six (6) years of comprehensive federal contract experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree preferred.
  • Experience in acquisition policy review and development is essential.
  • Acquisition certification is highly desirable (e.g., FAC-C, DAWIA, NCMA certifications).
  • Familiarity with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and procurement processes.
  • Proficient in document creation and collaboration tools such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint.
  • Knowledge of contract support activities, including market research, solicitation, contract administration, and closeout phases.
  • Ability to obtain or retain a Public Trust clearance, involving a credit and law enforcement agency check.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Compensation and Benefits

Salary Range: $95,000-$110,000, based on experience and education.
