The selected candidate will be responsible for conducting comprehensive literature reviews and providing policy recommendations that inform resource management decisions across various sectors, including offshore wind, oil and gas, marine minerals, and carbon sequestration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform literature and data compilation, review, and synthesis, ensuring the use of current and scientifically relevant information.
  • Identify critical habitats and species of concern within the OCS.
  • Compile and analyze information regarding climate change impacts on habitats and species.
  • Offer recommendations for future management practices in response to climate change.
  • Create informative resources and outreach materials for both experts and the general public, detailing the findings from literature reviews.
  • Develop an annotated bibliography to support research findings.
  • Present research outcomes and participate in webinars as required.
  • Undertake additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field from an accredited institution.
  • Master's degree or Ph.D. is preferred.
  • Familiarity with ocean energy policy, regulatory frameworks, NEPA, and the Coastal Zone Management Act.
