Position Overview:
Solstice Consulting Group is in search of an Energy Systems Engineer to join a leading chemical manufacturing organization. This role operates on a 9/80 schedule, offering a dynamic work environment with occasional travel opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the efficiency and performance of all utility systems within the facility.
- Conduct assessments to identify and rectify inefficiencies in utility operations, providing recommendations for enhancements and expansions as necessary.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive utility balances to ensure optimal resource management.
- Collaborate on capital projects, offering insights and support to ensure successful execution.
- Establish guidelines for troubleshooting utility systems and identify potential savings opportunities.
- Monitor wastewater management practices to ensure compliance and efficiency, addressing any limitations that may hinder future growth.
- Evaluate the lifecycle of utility and process equipment, recommending repairs, replacements, or upgrades as needed, including long-term capital planning.
- Ensure adherence to recognized and accepted good engineering practices (RAGAGEP) by identifying and addressing any non-compliant systems.
- Review and assess the work of contracted engineering teams involved in utility design and infrastructure projects, preparing cost estimates for proposed initiatives.
- Engage in the organizational leadership team, contributing to the development of policies, plans, and strategies for future expansion.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a utility engineering capacity within a manufacturing environment.
- Profound understanding of utility design, construction, and contract management processes.
- Familiarity with contemporary engineering specifications and relevant state and federal regulations governing utility systems.
- Proven ability to foster effective working relationships and communicate clearly with stakeholders, including contractors and team members.
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is preferred.

Desired Expertise:
- In-depth knowledge of various water treatment methodologies, including filtration and ion-exchange systems.
- Proficiency in steam generation systems, including boilers, de-aerators, and distribution mechanisms.
