Position Overview

As an Energy Engineer at ENGIE, you will play a pivotal role in evaluating the implications of technical choices for clients, particularly from a financial perspective, while assessing various alternatives. Your daily responsibilities will involve collaborating closely with on-site utilities business developers and Project Managers, as well as disseminating innovations, protocols, best practices, and tools throughout the team. We seek an individual passionate about advancing renewable energy initiatives and facilitating the decarbonization of installations. You will report directly to the Head of Engineering for Utilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Possess a Bachelor's Degree in engineering.
  • Have a minimum of 2 years of experience in Engineering, Solutions Architecture, or Capex-based On-site Utilities projects.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of various solutions required, including CHPs, biomass-fired plants, cooling systems, and compressed air systems.
  • Expertise in sizing and designing on-site utilities projects (CHP, steam utilities, compressed air, cooling power plants) and multi-energy systems.
  • Ability to estimate Capex and Opex in collaboration with Operations & Management, Project Management, and construction teams for on-site utilities projects, contributing to the transition of projects to the Energy Services Asset Management Department.
  • Experience working in an industrial setting.
  • Familiarity with technical regulations.
  • Understanding of commercial considerations.
  • Implement innovative solutions in a structured manner.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned.

  • This position is eligible for a hybrid work arrangement.
  • Willingness to travel domestically up to 20% of the time.
  • Must hold a valid U.S. driver's license.

Compensation Details

Salary Range: $74,500 - $114,195 USD annually.

This range reflects the average expected pay for a qualified candidate. Actual salary may vary based on factors such as geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, and internal pay alignment.

In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for a competitive bonus/incentive plan.
