As a Renewable Energy Systems Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to assess the implications of technical choices for clients, including financial aspects, while evaluating various alternatives. You will collaborate daily with on-site utilities business developers and Project Managers, sharing innovations, guidelines, best practices, and tools within the team. We seek an individual passionate about advancing renewable energy solutions and decarbonizing installations. You will report directly to the Head of Engineering for Utilities.
Key Qualifications
- A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is required.
- At least 2 years of professional experience in Engineering, Solutions Architecture, or Capex-focused On-site Utilities projects.
- Familiarity with diverse solutions such as Combined Heat and Power (CHP) systems, biomass plants, cooling systems, and compressed air technologies.
- Ability to size and design on-site utilities projects, including CHP, steam utilities, and multi-energy systems.
- Experience in estimating Capex and Opex in collaboration with Operations & Management, Project Management, and construction teams for on-site utilities projects.
- Experience in an industrial setting is essential.
- Knowledge of technical regulations is necessary.
- Understanding of commercial considerations is required.
- Ability to implement innovative solutions in a structured manner.
- Willingness to undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.
- This position is eligible for a hybrid work arrangement.
- Willingness to travel domestically up to 20% of the time is required.
- A valid U.S. driver's license is necessary.
- Compliance with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies is mandatory.
- Exceptional organizational and professional skills are expected.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities are essential.
- Must be efficient and results-oriented.
Salary Range: $74,500 - $114,195 USD annually.
This range reflects the average expected compensation for a qualified candidate. Actual salary may vary based on factors such as geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, and internal pay alignment.
In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for a competitive bonus/incentive plan.
