Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Clinical Account Executive to join our team at Baptist Home Health, a part of LHC Group. As a Clinical Account Executive, you will play a critical role in developing and maintaining relationships with healthcare professionals, patients, and families to promote our home health services.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to increase referrals and admissions to our home health services
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare professionals, patients, and families to promote our services
  • Provide educational in-services to healthcare professionals and other stakeholders on our home health services
  • Meet personal performance goals and admission budgets for the location
  • Participate in sales calls and company in-services to stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices

We are looking for a candidate with prior home health experience, formalized clinical training from an accredited institution, and a current driver's license. If you have excellent presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, and are able to work independently with minimal supervision, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate referrals of patients to home health services, ensuring patient choice is honored
  • Evaluate patient suitability for home health services upon request from physicians or facilities
  • Receive referrals from physicians or facilities and send to the appropriate branch of the home health agency
  • Act as a liaison between patients, caregivers, physicians, and the home health agency
  • Schedule and coordinate physician follow-up appointments when necessary
  • Receive patient reports from agency field staff and communicate those reports directly to physicians or nurses
  • Communicate orders or changes to the home health agency
  • Responsible for obtaining signed physician orders and delivering them to the home health agency
  • Follow up to ensure original orders are mailed or delivered to the home health agency
  • Facilitate the delivery of DME equipment after obtaining a signed prescription from the physician
  • Facilitate obtaining proper physician documentation to meet home health face-to-face encounter requirements
  • Communicate with the DON or Branch Manager regarding any complaints or concerns from physicians
  • Provide educational in-services to healthcare professionals and other stakeholders on our home health services
  • Meet personal performance goals and admission budgets for the location
  • Participate in sales calls and company in-services
Requirements
  • Prior home health experience
  • Formalized clinical training from an accredited institution
  • Current driver's license, vehicle insurance, and access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation
  • Excellent presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Strong computer skills to meet Microsoft Outlook and CRM software requirements
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
