Senior Fluids Valve Design Engineer

At Blue Origin, we are developing reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems within a culture of safety, collaboration, and inclusion.

This role is part of the Lunar Permanence business unit, which develops Blue Origin's multiple Blue Moon lander product lines.

The team building this vehicle is rethinking how space systems are designed, with a high-performance architecture, efficient reusability, and rapid design iteration.

  • Complete life cycle of the valves from definition, interfaces, conceptual design, detailed design, component development, assembly, verification, and operation.
  • Design the next generation of cryogenic valves for use on our Lunar program and perform 1st order analyses to verify your designs.
  • Complete trade studies to quantify valve design options.

Qualifications include a B.S. degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or related field, 10+ years of experience in valve and or mechanical+fluids component design, and knowledge of propulsion and fluid system components.
