**About Us**

At Blue Origin, we're pushing the boundaries of space exploration and development. We're seeking an experienced engineer to join our team responsible for designing, developing, and qualifying engine fluid controls for our reusable space vehicles.

This role is part of the Blue Origin Engines business unit, where we focus on designing, developing, manufacturing, and testing engines and propulsion systems for commercial, civil, national security, and human spaceflight applications.

**Key Responsibilities**

You will be responsible for owning designs from concept through qualification, collaborating with program leaders, systems engineers, test groups, and other teams, and overseeing testing of components to ensure they comply with their design requirements.

You will also have the opportunity to mentor and lead early career engineers, teach development approaches and techniques for fluid control systems, and define best practices for engine valves and mechanisms to increase efficiency.

**Requirements**

To succeed in this position, you should possess a B.S. degree in an engineering discipline (aerospace, mechanical, chemical, or physics desired) and 8+ years of professional engineering experience with valves, fluid control systems, and mechanisms, including rocket or jet engine experience.

You should also have strong technical fundamentals in propulsion, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and structural analysis, as well as computer-aided design (CAD) experience and familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).

**Estimated Salary:** $140,000 - $200,000 per year, depending on location and experience
