Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Rocket Fluid Systems Engineer to join our team at Blue Origin. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented professional to design, develop, and test fluid systems for our orbital launch vehicles.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the design, development, and testing of fluid systems for our spacecraft and launch vehicles. This will involve working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of fluid systems with other vehicle subsystems.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop sophisticated fluid subsystems for our spacecraft and launch vehicles.
  • Perform trade studies to optimize fluid system design.
  • Develop and maintain interface definitions between fluid systems and other vehicle subsystems.
  • Work closely with other groups to ensure fluid systems work together seamlessly.
  • Lead and participate in component and system level testing and data analysis.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience with spacecraft or launch vehicle fluid system component design or test.
  • Proven understanding of fluid components such as valves, pressure vessels, flex elements, and fittings.
  • Knowledge of fabrication, integration processes, and quality control relative to tubes/piping and machined components.
  • Solid understanding of materials and treatments.
  • Experience fixing fluids hardware.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with rocket fluids systems.
  • Solid understanding of cryogenic material properties and testing.
  • Experience with data acquisition systems.
  • Experience with welding.

Compensation

The estimated salary range for this role is $111,690.00 - $156,366.00 per year.
