Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled Fluids Management Engineer to join our New Glenn Upper Stage operations team at Blue Origin. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the development and implementation of operational procedures, ensuring the safe and efficient handling of the subsystem.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in launch systems, with experience in analysis, design, test, and operations. You will work closely with our integrated test, launch operations, and autonomous flight operations customer teams to incorporate operational constraints into downstream procedures and flight plans.

This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the success of Blue Origin's mission to develop reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems.

Responsibilities
  • Develop detailed CONOPS for pre-launch and flight operations
  • Define operational constraints for the end-to-end safe handling and successful operation of the subsystem
  • Collaborate with integrated test, launch operations, and autonomous flight operations customer teams to incorporate operational constraints into downstream procedures and flight plans
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A minimum of a B.S. degree in Engineering or a related technical field
  • 5+ years validated experience with a combination of analysis, design, test, and operations for launch systems
  • Hands-on experience in developing, authoring, and implementing integrated tests or operating launch vehicles
  • In-depth working cryogenics and pneumatics fluids subsystem domain knowledge
  • Ability to work with partially defined requirements and changing criteria

Compensation

The estimated salary range for this role is $111,690 - $156,366 per year, based on location and experience.
