The Blue Origin Engines business unit focuses on designing, developing, manufacturing, and testing engines and propulsion systems for commercial, civil, national security, and human spaceflight applications.

**Job Description**

This role will contribute to the design, development, and qualification of engine fluid controls as part of a small passionate team working on engine fluid controls. You will own designs from concept through qualification, collaborate with program leaders, systems engineers, test groups, and other teams, and oversee testing of components to ensure they comply with their design requirements.

As a member of this team, you will have the opportunity to mentor and lead early career engineers, teach development approaches and techniques for fluid control systems, and define best practices for engine valves and mechanisms to increase efficiency.

**Required Skills and Qualifications**

To succeed in this position, you should possess a B.S. degree in an engineering discipline (aerospace, mechanical, chemical, or physics desired) and 8+ years of professional engineering experience with valves, fluid control systems, and mechanisms, including rocket or jet engine experience.

You should also have strong technical fundamentals in propulsion, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and structural analysis, as well as computer-aided design (CAD) experience and familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).

**Estimated Salary:** $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on location and experience
