Position Overview

As a key player in the Procurement Department, you will oversee and align our equipment procurement strategies with Hogan's overarching business goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate and dispatch purchase orders to suppliers and relevant departments.
  • Address inquiries from customers and vendors regarding order statuses, modifications, or cancellations.
  • Engage with suppliers to coordinate deliveries and resolve issues related to shortages or delays.
  • Verify requisition orders for accuracy, terminology, and specifications in collaboration with the sales team.
  • Maintain and review purchasing documentation, reports, and pricing lists.
  • Evaluate prices, specifications, and delivery timelines to identify the most advantageous bids from suppliers.
  • Monitor the progress of requisitions, rebates, and orders.
  • Calculate order costs and manage invoice processing to appropriate accounts.
  • Ensure accuracy by comparing supplier invoices with bids and purchase orders.
  • Authorize payments for invoices.
  • Stay informed about local and state regulations affecting procurement and provide guidance to staff and vendors.
  • Assess vendor performance regularly.
  • Collaborate with sales staff to review customer specifications and secure pricing from manufacturers.
  • Issue purchase orders for equipment requisitions and update tracking ledgers accordingly.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with vendors to ensure efficient equipment delivery and minimal production downtime.
  • Act as a liaison with compliance supervisors to ensure timely receipt of licensing credentials with delivered equipment.
  • Manage accounts receivable for procured equipment and collaborate with finance teams for timely funding.
  • Work with insurance personnel to report accurate values for vehicle equipment.
  • Produce and maintain billing and asset documentation to ensure correct billing start dates and locations.
  • Coordinate with vendors to file for applicable rebates post-delivery of vehicles.
  • Submit service dates for equipment to manufacturers to initiate warranty periods and communicate any special warranty conditions.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of class 3-8 truck and trailer equipment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
