Job Title: Enterprise Business Development Executive

Job Summary:

The Enterprise Business Development Executive is a key role in driving business growth and revenue expansion for MSC Industrial Supply. This position is responsible for identifying, pursuing, and securing large manufacturing customers with revenue potential of $3M+ incremental per year. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of success in pursuing new large national account customers and will be able to leverage their expertise in sales, negotiation, and relationship building to drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and pursue large manufacturing customers with revenue potential of $3M+ incremental per year.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to secure new business agreements with key customers.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing and product management, to drive business growth and revenue expansion.
  • Develop and maintain thorough knowledge of the marketplace, including competitor analysis and market trends.
  • Develop and execute business plans to drive revenue growth and expansion.
  • Provide regular updates and insights to senior leadership on business performance and market trends.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years demonstrated track record of success in pursuing new large national account customers.
  • Demonstrated large ($3M+) sales experience success is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with Salesforce.com experience preferred.
  • Strong background in selling profitable solutions or services is preferred.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of sales and prospecting techniques in large national accounts.
  • Demonstrated track record of excellent sales, negotiation, relationship building, and closing skills and techniques.
  • Knowledge of e-business.
  • Supply Chain Expertise/Knowledge including Operations, Procurement, Lean/Process Improvement preferred.

Working Conditions:

This position requires a valid driver's license and the ability to travel up to 60% of the time. The position may require access to International Traffic in Arms Regulations Information (ITAR) and/or Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI).

Compensation:

Starting salary range: $157,570 - $247,610, depending on experience.
