Position Overview:

Join our dedicated team at Humana as a Financial Analysis Manager, where you will play a pivotal role in shaping our financial strategies and ensuring transparency across our IT Operations.

The Financial Analysis Manager will collaborate closely with IT Finance within the Corporate Finance Organization, focusing on delivering financial insights to IT leaders and key stakeholders.

This position requires a deep understanding of departmental, segment, and organizational strategies, as well as their interconnections.

Your expertise will be crucial in assessing the financial implications of proposed investments and transactions, enabling senior executives to make informed decisions aligned with our business objectives.

In this role, you will work alongside various associates across IT and leadership levels to enhance the accuracy of projections and budgeting processes.

The Financial Analysis Manager will also leverage tools and technologies to collect, integrate, analyze, and present raw data, transforming it into actionable insights.


Key Responsibilities:


1. Gather, verify, and analyze financial data and economic indicators to support strategic and operational decisions regarding acquisitions, investments, and other financial activities.

2. Present findings to senior management on a regular basis.

3. Analyze the financial ramifications of proposed investments and transactions.

4. Evaluate industry trends and economic factors to forecast the organization’s financial and competitive standing.

5. Conduct detailed analyses on expenses, investments, cash flow, and market trends, which may include financial modeling and budgeting.

6. Advise executives on functional strategies that are significant to the organization.

7. Collaborate with IT leadership on business case analyses and return on investment assessments.


Required Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance or accounting.

3. Proven experience in leading teams or initiatives.

4. Strong advisory skills for senior leadership on financial strategies.

5. Comprehensive knowledge of complex accounting and financial transactions.

6. Ability to develop methods for complex data analysis.

7. Strong executive-level communication skills.

8. Flexibility to work remotely, with availability during EST/CST time zones.

9. Willingness to travel as needed.


Preferred Qualifications:
1. Experience in finance/accounting within an IT organization.

2. Familiarity with managing capitalized technology labor costs.

3. Knowledge of Apptio or application TCO.

4. Experience in transformation management related to project financials.

5. Proficiency in Oracle and/or Oracle Projects.

6. Master’s degree in Business Administration or CPA preferred.

7. Previous experience in the health insurance industry within finance/accounting.
