Sales Manager Job Description

Nexstar Broadcasting is seeking an experienced Sales Manager to lead our sales team and drive revenue growth in our Kansas City market.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work with our National Sales Organization to develop and execute sales strategies
  • Lead and grow our local account executives to achieve revenue goals
  • Maximize revenue on all screens, including television, digital, and OTT platforms
  • Pricing and oversight of all national accounts
  • Building relationships with the national buying team, including direct relationships with agency buyers, and clients
  • Management of all political advertising
  • Ability to accurately forecast and budget
  • Delivery of all broadcast and digital budgets
  • Develop highly creative and innovative marketing campaigns and solutions for clients
  • Coach, train, and develop staff
  • Prepare, submit, and negotiate sales presentations
  • Assist in the recommendation of pricing based on inventory and sell out
Requirements and Skills:
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills with the ability to foster a positive, winning culture
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communications, writing, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Must be well organized, display a professional demeanor, exude high energy, and show attention to detail
  • Familiarity with Nielsen, Wide Orbit, and Matrix preferred
  • A Bachelor's degree with a minimum of three (3) years of sales management experience, including local and digital sales preferred
