Accounts Payable Coordinator

Convergent Energy and Power is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the full-cycle Accounts Payable process, including creating purchase orders, reviewing invoices, matching receipts, and setting up payment runs.
Key Responsibilities- Accounts Payable Process Management: Enter and review invoice details for complete and accurate information to submit for payment.
- Purchase Order Management: Work with employees across various groups to create purchase orders with appropriate coding.
- Vendor Management: Set up new vendors in the ERP and AP systems.
- Employee and Vendor Communication: Respond to employee inquiries about AP processes, payment status, and other ad hoc requests.
- Expense Report Management: Review and process expense reports for payment, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations for assigned bank accounts.
- Reporting and Data Analysis: Run reports and provide data needed for accounting month-end close activities.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-year Accounts Payable experience, including internships.
- Knowledge and Skills: Strong knowledge and understanding of full-cycle AP processes, excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to establish good working relationships with colleagues, and ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Education: Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Accounting or credit hours completed.
