About the Role

The Cumberland County Technical Education Center is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Procurement and Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for coordinating district-wide purchasing and accounts payable activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Reporting Structure: The successful candidate will report directly to the School Business Administrator.
  • Purchasing and Accounts Payable Coordination: You will be responsible for coordinating district-wide purchasing and accounts payable activities, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
  • Qualifications and Skills: To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of financial procedures and regulations, excellent communication and organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: A bachelor's degree in a related field, such as finance or accounting, and a minimum of 2 years of experience in purchasing and accounts payable.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial software and systems, including spreadsheets and accounting packages.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, vendors, and other stakeholders.
