Accounting Role Overview

Aladdin Capital is seeking a highly skilled Accountant to contribute to our dynamic team. This role will involve managing daily general ledger activity, processing accounts payable invoices, and reconciling vendor statements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Record daily general ledger activity
  • Process accounts payable invoices and reconcile vendor statements
  • Conduct daily bank reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records
  • Serve as the accounting lead for project implementations and new business lines
  • Act as the primary backup for other accounting positions
  • Handle customer invoicing and payment collection
  • Calculate and process amounts due to vendors
  • Reconcile the general ledger and complete month-end close processes
  • Maintain fixed asset listings and calculate monthly depreciation
  • Generate financial reports and conduct analysis of employee expenditures
  • File and remit taxes, including preparation of 1099s and collection of vendor W-9 forms
  • Assist in the training of new staff and maintain accounting procedure manuals

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Associate degree in Accounting
  • 2-5 years of general accounting experience
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel (Intermediate to Advanced)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Personable, positive, and enthusiastic attitude with the ability to work effectively both independently and in a team
  • Flexibility and willingness to support several departments
