Job Title: Senior Accountant

At Silencer Central, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for preparing financial reports, performing account reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger, preparing tax returns, and assisting with audit preparations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinating accounting functions and programs
  • Preparing financial analyses and reports
  • Preparing and analyzing financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and company policies
  • Assisting with variance to budget analysis
  • Assisting in the development of budgets and forecasts by providing financial insights and analysis
  • Maintaining the general ledger by recording journal entries, reconciling accounts, and ensuring accuracy
  • Supporting internal and external audit processes by providing documentation, explanations, and assistance as needed
  • Assisting with preparing federal, state, local, and other tax filings
  • Identifying inefficiencies in accounting processes and recommending improvements to streamline operations and enhance controls
  • Staying abreast of changes in accounting regulations and ensuring compliance with relevant standards
  • Investigating and resolving audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of non-compliance
  • Contributing to the development of new or amended accounting systems, programs, and procedures
  • Creating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for accounting and reporting
  • Participating in specialist projects and initiatives as assigned by management
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant work experience required
  • 3+ years of accounting experience required
  • Working knowledge of tax laws and GAAP
  • Strong financial analysis skills
  • Strong Excel skill set
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently to achieve goals and targets
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work
  • Ability to work in a team environment to achieve team, departmental, and corporate goals
  • Critical thinking ability - using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems
  • Ability to monitor and assess performance of self, team members, and the operation to make improvements or take corrective action
Compensation and Benefits:
  • Salary: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 DOE
