Role Responsibilities:

The Senior Systems Administrator will be responsible for the following key tasks:

  • Support the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems.
  • Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution.
  • Oversee daily configuration and operational activities of IT systems.
  • Assist users in accessing and utilizing IT systems effectively.
  • Deliver Tier 1 and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution.
  • Support IT systems through daily operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for various devices including client/server/storage/network and mobile devices.
  • Facilitate the escalation and communication of status updates to management and internal customers.
  • Optimize system operations and resource utilization, conducting capacity analysis and planning.
  • Utilize in-depth troubleshooting expertise for IT systems.
  • Provide detailed analysis and feedback to management for escalated issues.
  • Support the dispatch system and hardware issues, remaining engaged in the resolution process.
  • Configure and manage UNIX and Windows operating systems, ensuring the integrity and performance of network components.

Essential Qualifications:

A minimum of ten (10) years of experience as a Systems Administrator in similar programs and contracts is required. A Bachelor's degree in a technical field from an accredited institution is mandatory. Alternatively, five (5) years of additional experience may substitute for the degree.

Clearance Requirement: TS/SCI w/Poly SP

Remote Work Capability: Onsite Full-time: This role requires work to be performed at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedule: Lockheed Martin supports various alternate work schedules for added flexibility. Options range from standard 40-hour weeks to condensed schedules, providing additional time away from the office in addition to paid time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 9x80 with every other Friday off.
