Key Responsibilities:

The primary duties of the Senior Systems Administrator include:

  • Supporting the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT infrastructures.
  • Providing Tier 1 (Help Desk) support for problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution.
  • Overseeing daily operations of IT systems configuration and management.
  • Assisting users in accessing and utilizing IT resources effectively.
  • Delivering Tier 1 and Tier 2 support for problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution.
  • Ensuring operational support for IT systems, including monitoring and resolving issues across client/server/storage/network devices and mobile platforms.
  • Facilitating communication and status updates to management and internal stakeholders.
  • Optimizing system performance and resource utilization, including conducting capacity analysis and planning.
  • Utilizing in-depth troubleshooting skills for IT systems.
  • Providing detailed analysis and feedback to management for escalated issues.
  • Supporting the dispatch system and addressing hardware problems while remaining engaged in the resolution process.
  • Configuring and managing UNIX and Windows operating systems, installing software, troubleshooting, and enhancing system reliability and performance.

Basic Qualifications:

A minimum of ten (10) years of experience as a Systems Administrator in programs and contracts of similar scope and complexity is required. A Bachelor's degree in a technical field from an accredited institution is also required. Alternatively, five (5) years of additional Systems Administrator experience may substitute for a Bachelor's degree.

Clearance Level: TS/SCI w/Poly SP
