As a Project Manager, you will oversee the projects assigned to you. Approximately 80% of your time will be dedicated to billable tasks related to project assignments, while the remaining 20% will focus on representing the company's interests concerning ongoing and proposed projects, as well as fulfilling professional and business development obligations. While technical proficiency is essential, understanding the responsibilities tied to managing both project and client needs is equally important.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and manage project scope and resource allocation, including reviewing job status reports.
  • Act as the primary liaison with clients, facilitating communication between stakeholders, reviewing scope modifications, delivering design presentations, approving contractor invoices, and collaborating with the director on fee billings.
  • Coordinate project teams, conduct team meetings, and manage interdepartmental communication and workloads.
  • Engage with external consultants alongside the Owner and Project Team, including consultant selection and communication.
  • Build and maintain client relationships through strategic marketing initiatives in collaboration with the Marketing and Sales Director.
  • Represent the company at client meetings, including evening Board meetings when necessary.
  • Conduct site inspections and efficiently prepare proposals, including fee assessments and staffing plans.
  • Manage operational activities, oversee scheduling, and ensure timely delivery of project outputs.
  • Ensure employee deliverables and timesheet submissions are completed accurately.
  • Support employee development through effective training and professional growth initiatives.
  • Conduct thorough quality assurance observations during construction, generating detailed field reports.
  • Prepare mockup scopes of work and actively monitor contractor construction while performing integrity tests.
  • Conduct comprehensive condition assessments of existing structures, providing detailed findings reports to clients and addressing inquiries.
  • Collaborate with the Design Studio to create design specifications and repair details.
  • Develop persuasive proposals for additional tasks within current projects.
  • Expand and maintain the client base, proactively seeking new opportunities while nurturing existing client relationships.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Must possess a valid driver's license.

  • Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated professional experience in construction, structural engineering, building enclosure assessments, design, and/or solid project management.
  • Bachelor's Degree required; fields in Architectural Engineering, Construction Management, Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering are highly preferred.
  • Candidates with a P.E. (Professional Engineer), RA/AIA Registration, or industry-specific certifications (RRO, AABA, AAMA, IIBEC, AWS, ACI, ICRI, SWRI, AIA, etc.) are preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (WORD, EXCEL, POWERPOINT).
  • Experience in field inspections.
  • Strong technical writing skills for reports and correspondence.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with clients throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Understanding of project management processes as they relate to business operations.
  • Knowledgeable in construction practices, including industry standards, materials, codes, contracts, and bidding processes.
  • Comfortable working at heights, including climbing ladders and scaffolding.
