Job Overview:


The IT Project Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and directing various technology initiatives that affect multiple departments within the organization. This role ensures that project deliverables are synchronized to facilitate successful implementations, utilizing various project management methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, or Kanban. The coordinator acts as the primary point of contact between technology personnel, product stakeholders, and business sponsors to accurately define project requirements and software specifications, ensuring that all technology outputs meet the desired objectives and value.

Key Responsibilities:

- Serve as the subject matter expert in developing, managing, and executing IT project plans.

- Collaborate with project stakeholders and product owners to ensure that interests and values are represented, and that functional requirements are integrated into the analysis and design phases.

- Formulate the project strategy through comprehensive business analysis, stakeholder engagement, requirements gathering, contract oversight, risk assessment, functional design, and change management.
- Convert business needs into technical solutions while recognizing the interplay between business interests and technical implementations.

- Work closely with product owners and technical leads to proactively manage stakeholder expectations, project timelines, user communications, risk assessments, benefit evaluations, quality reviews, and implementation strategies.

- Lead the requirements gathering process through business analysis and workflow design, involving stakeholder interviews, functional design, workflow modeling, change management, and use case development.

- Establish collaborative relationships with all stakeholders to innovate, implement, and deliver effective solutions.

- Identify and address conflicts, project performance issues, and collaborate with project teams and stakeholders to find resolutions.
- Conduct and document software pilots and feasibility studies to support acquisition efforts.
- Provide regular project status updates and maintain communication standards across all development initiatives.
- Develop and present briefings, project plans, risk assessments, and other essential deliverables to senior management.
- Capture project metrics and generate reports for various stakeholders.
- Identify and manage customer requirements, overseeing necessary adjustments.
- Determine the technology resources needed for administrative technology implementations.
- Act as a liaison between business units and the IT organization to develop requests for proposals.
- Participate in and/or coordinate the selection of technology products or services.
- Oversee vendor and contract management, including scope definition and implementation of project planning techniques.
- Perform related duties as necessary or assigned.

Education and Certifications:

- A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Mathematics or Computer Science is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
- One or more of the following certifications is required: PMP, Scrum Master, SSGI; any of these certifications is preferred: PMI-ACP, CSM, SAFe.

Experience and Skills Required:

- Familiarity with best practices in customer service and customer-oriented account management.
- Knowledge of business and information technology practices and trends in comparable organizations.
- Understanding of technology-related issues and their potential impact on assigned customers.
- Awareness of applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations related to technology.
- Proficiency in various project management frameworks and methodologies (such as Agile, Scrum, Kanban).
- Ability to implement technology solutions, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and function as a team leader.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
