Position: Director/VP of Project Management

Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President of Engineering and Project Management, the Director/VP of Project Management will lead a team of project managers and construction managers through all phases of project setup and execution, from planning to commissioning. This role encompasses the management of various distributed energy resource initiatives, including combined heat and power (CHP), fuel cells, energy storage, solar, and geothermal technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and direction to a growing team of project managers and construction managers.
  • Enhance and refine project management processes for setup, execution, reporting, commissioning, and handover to clients.
  • Collaborate with internal sales, development, engineering, and procurement teams to prepare and manage:
  • Project implementation strategies and scopes of work across multiple disciplines.
  • Project execution and construction timelines.
  • Project budget estimates and actual expenditure tracking.
  • Lead the preparation of proposals for clients and from subcontractors, working closely with the internal engineering and procurement teams.
  • Coordinate execution planning with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure optimal quality, safety, cost, and schedule performance.
  • Oversee necessary permitting processes in collaboration with architects and expeditors.
  • Manage the construction management team responsible for executing construction projects, ensuring safety and quality standards are met.
  • Guide the team in addressing implementation challenges and issues.
  • Improve overall project reporting and monitoring methodologies and tools.
  • Maintain relationships with clients, partners, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 10 years of project management experience in the energy sector, particularly with construction projects.
  • A bachelor's degree is essential, preferably in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading teams effectively across various project aspects, including scope, budget, schedule, permitting, and reporting.
  • Familiarity with distributed energy technologies, such as combined heat and power, fuel cells, energy storage, and microgrids is preferred.

Preferred Skills:

  • A proactive approach to problem-solving with a focus on risk management and mitigation.
  • Comfort in client-facing roles.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in small teams within a fast-paced environment.
  • Capability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, MS Project, and Salesforce (or similar CRM software).

Work Environment: Endurant Energy employs a hybrid work model, requiring candidates to be located near one of our offices.
