Position: Vice President/Director of Project Management

Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President of Engineering and Project Management, the Vice President/Director of Project Management will spearhead a team of project managers and construction managers, overseeing project initiation and execution from planning through to commissioning. This role encompasses various distributed energy resource projects, including combined heat and power (CHP), fuel cells, energy storage, solar, and geothermal technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a growing team of project managers and construction managers.
  • Enhance and refine project management methodologies for project initiation, execution, reporting, commissioning, and handover to clients.
  • Collaborate with internal sales, development, engineering, and procurement teams to prepare and manage:
  • Project implementation strategies and scopes of work across multiple disciplines.
  • Construction schedules and project execution timelines.
  • Cost estimates and tracking of actual expenses.
  • Oversee the preparation of RFP responses for clients and subcontractors, coordinating with internal engineering and procurement teams.
  • Facilitate execution planning with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure optimal quality, safety, cost, and schedule performance.
  • Manage necessary permitting processes in collaboration with architects and expeditors.
  • Supervise the construction management team to ensure adherence to safety and quality standards during project implementation.
  • Guide the team in addressing implementation challenges and obstacles.
  • Improve overall project reporting and monitoring systems and tools.
  • Maintain relationships with clients, partners, subcontractors, and other stakeholders involved in projects.

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 10 years of project management experience in the energy sector, particularly with construction projects.
  • A Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field is essential.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading teams effectively in managing various project aspects, including scope, budget, schedule, permitting, and reporting.
  • Familiarity with distributed energy technologies, such as combined heat and power, fuel cells, energy storage, and microgrids is preferred.

Preferred Skills:

  • A proactive approach to problem-solving with a focus on risk management and mitigation.
  • Comfort in client-facing roles.
  • Ability to thrive in small teams within a fast-paced environment.
  • Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, MS Project, and Salesforce or similar CRM software.

Work Model: Endurant Energy employs a hybrid work model.

Compensation: The salary range for this position is $160,000 - $190,000 annually.
