Lead Events Sales Executive

Overview:

Major Food Group is in search of a dedicated and dynamic Lead Events Sales Executive to enhance our events division. This role is pivotal in curating exceptional experiences for our clientele across our prestigious venues.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Proactively generate significant business opportunities through outreach to potential clients while managing incoming inquiries for large-scale events.
  2. Oversee the development and management of the social events sector, ensuring successful execution of large events.
  3. Collaborate with the Major Food Events management team to optimize event profitability and streamline logistics for an unparalleled guest experience.
  4. Engage with clients throughout the event planning process, including negotiating terms, drafting contracts, and securing payment arrangements.
  5. Ensure that all confirmed events are communicated effectively to both internal teams and external partners.
  6. Assist clients in customizing their event details, including menu selections, beverage options, layout configurations, and event timelines.
  7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date event records within our catering management software to facilitate seamless operations.
  8. Participate in regular meetings with culinary and management teams to relay all pertinent catering information.
  9. Demonstrate problem-solving skills and creatively drive sales initiatives.
  10. Communicate all logistical details to on-site management, providing support during events to guarantee flawless execution.
  11. Contribute to special projects as assigned, maintaining adherence to company standards.
  12. Act as a representative of Major Food Group, embodying our values and commitment to excellence.

Qualifications:

  • A strong commitment to excellence and a passion for the hospitality industry.
  • Proven experience in event sales and coordination, particularly within New York City venues.
  • A successful track record in direct sales with the ability to identify and cultivate targeted prospects.
  • A Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • 3-6 years of relevant experience in event sales, coordination, or client services; background in hospitality is preferred.
  • Exceptional work ethic, team-oriented mindset, and a positive attitude are essential.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage with high-profile clients.
  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in software tools such as Excel, Indesign, Illustrator, and Tripleseat is advantageous but not mandatory.
