We are seeking a qualified Environmental Oversight Specialist to contribute to our initiatives at Environmental Consultants (ECI). This role is ideal for an accomplished Environmental Professional eager to impact civil and environmental engineering and consulting positively. Compensation: $42.00 per hour, contingent on your qualifications, experience, and certifications.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Independently manage special projects from inception to completion.
  • Conduct inspections related to erosion control, stormwater management, and pollution prevention on construction sites.
  • Interpret complex engineering plans and blueprints.
  • Ensure adherence to environmental regulations and laws.
  • Oversee SWPPP for utility transmission construction projects.
  • Inspect and supervise site development activities.
  • Engage with clients, contractors, and the public on a daily basis.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental compliance, wetland management, and permitting for utility projects.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with the public.
  • Basic proficiency in computer applications.
  • Valid driver's license required.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
  • Degree in Environmental Science, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in Electric Transmission, Pipeline, or Utility sectors.
  • Certifications in Erosion and Sedimentation Inspection.
  • Familiarity with SWPPP.
  • Prior experience in construction oversight.
  • Knowledge of GIS technology.
  • Understanding of ANSI Z133 safety standards.
  • Military experience is a plus.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is advantageous.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
