KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in compliance-related activities for various Clean Water Act (CWA) initiatives:
  • National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Permitting, including Industrial Pretreatment
  • Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA)
  • Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) compliance assistance
  • Prepare permit applications
  • Formulate water quality strategies as required by CWA programs. Generate technical documents, reports, and visuals. Execute and oversee targeted outreach initiatives.
  • Facilitate and convey compliance obligations within project teams and to clients.
  • Provide updates on compliance and enforcement developments to regulatory bodies.
  • Execute any additional tasks as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Master's Degree in Environmental Science or Public Affairs and/or 2+ years of experience in a water resource-related sector
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical capabilities
  • Effective task prioritization skills
  • Previous experience with Local, State, and/or Federal Environmental/Regulatory Agencies is preferred
