Requirements
  • US Citizenship is required.
  • Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to FV-H, FG/GS-12. Specialized experience includes:

  • Presenting agency and locally developed safety and occupational health policy and programs to higher levels of management.
  • Developing safety and occupational health standards, regulations, practices, and procedures to eliminate or control potential hazards.
  • Training of workers, supervisors, managers, or other safety and occupational health personnel in safety or occupational health subjects.

1. Knowledge of occupational safety and health program implementation and experience in developing comprehensive compliance programs.

2. Ability to inspect workplaces, evaluate occupational safety and environmental hazards and recommend cost-effective controls or abatement measures.

3. Ability to independently manage multidisciplinary safety and environmental programs, including fall protection, electrical safety, indoor air quality, asbestos control, and environmental impact studies.

4. Ability to deliver technical training with an emphasis on safety.
