KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Independently manage special projects from inception to completion.
  • Conduct thorough inspections related to erosion control, stormwater management, and pollution prevention on construction sites.
  • Interpret complex technical plans and blueprints.
  • Ensure adherence to environmental laws and regulations.
  • Oversee the Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) for utility construction sites.
  • Inspect and supervise site development activities.
  • Engage in daily communication with clients, contractors, and the public.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental compliance, wetland management, and permitting within the utility sector.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in diverse environmental conditions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with the public.
  • Basic proficiency in computer applications.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Degree in Environmental Science, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in Electric Transmission, Pipeline, or Utility sectors.
  • Certifications in Erosion and Sedimentation Inspection.
  • Familiarity with SWPPP.
  • Prior experience in construction oversight.
  • Knowledge of Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
  • Understanding of ANSI Z133 safety standards.
  • Military experience is a plus.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is advantageous.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work will primarily be conducted outdoors, requiring adaptability to varying conditions, with physical demands and travel involved. Accommodations are available for individuals with disabilities.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
This role involves walking, standing, operating vehicles, lifting, and other physical activities. Ability to work in field conditions and operate necessary equipment is essential.
