Job Summary

The Sous Chef plays a vital role in the management of the Food Center, assisting the Executive Chef in overseeing the day-to-day operations. This includes supervising personnel, developing menus, and ensuring compliance with food service regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and train Food Center personnel in food preparation and service
  • Assist in menu development and implementation
  • Ensure compliance with food service regulations and standards
  • Collaborate with church groups to provide evening meals
  • Assist with purchasing and inventory management
  • Supervise cooks and volunteers in meal preparation and service
  • Process food vouchers for needy clients
  • Assist with tracking and weighing food donations
  • Oversee kitchen staff in storage and organization
  • Ensure daily kitchen and dining room cleanup
Additional Responsibilities
  • Comply with training requirements and company policies
  • Adhere to safety, personnel, and operational procedures
  • Contribute to a positive and cooperative team environment
  • Perform other duties as necessary to fulfill the Society of St. Vincent de Paul South Pinellas Inc. mission
