Job Opportunity

Terry Staffing and Consulting is seeking a highly skilled Compensation Analyst to join our team on a contract basis. This assignment will involve working with a municipality in the Atlanta area, with the potential to last up to one year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct a comprehensive compensation and classification study of comparable Georgia counties and municipalities to identify competitive positions in the labor market.
  • Develop and implement a compensation structure that includes pay ranges and job grades, ensuring equity and competitiveness.
  • Provide recommendations for individual position salaries based on the proposed classification and compensation schedules.
  • Prepare and implement compensation rules and policies to maintain competitiveness, employee reward, and equity.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, finance, business, or a relevant field.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of documented experience in job evaluations, classification, and market-based compensation study work.
  • Knowledge of Federal and Georgia laws related to pay practices, compensation, and non-exempt/exempt designation.
  • Understanding of compensation principles and practices, including development of compensation structures, policies, and procedures.
  • Knowledge of the Americans with Disability Act of 1990 and the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) as they apply to the work of this project.

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment on multiple projects.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
  • Self-starter with ability to work in a team atmosphere.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Work Conditions:

  • This assignment is mostly virtual, with occasional travel to the client office and field locations.
