Southern Regional Medical Center, part of the Prime Healthcare Foundation, is a distinguished non-profit healthcare facility with 331 beds, dedicated to serving the residents of Clayton County and the southern crescent metro Atlanta communities. Our hospital provides a comprehensive range of services, including Senior Care, Emergency Services, Heart and Vascular, Advanced Imaging, Laboratory, Neuroscience Services, Rehabilitation, Sleep Diagnostic Center, Surgery/Robotic Surgery, Wound Care, and Women's Health Services, featuring a Level III NICU. We are accredited as a Chest Pain Center and Primary Stroke Center, emphasizing our commitment to quality care.

Responsibilities
The Registered Nurse is accountable for delivering safe and effective patient care through the nursing process, which includes assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. This role involves providing direct patient care within the defined scope of practice. The Registered Nurse also plays a crucial role in guiding patient and family education and overseeing the activities of other nursing staff while adhering to established standards of care within the Medical/Surgical Unit. Direct accountability for the care provided to assigned patients is a key responsibility. Effective communication with physicians regarding changes in patients' clinical conditions, including cardiac monitoring, diagnostic study results, and symptomatology, is essential. The Registered Nurse must respond promptly and accurately to any changes in patient condition or treatment response.
Qualifications
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
- Current and valid state RN License.
- Current BLS certification upon hire and maintenance of certification.
- ACLS certification preferred within 30 days of hire and maintenance of certification.
- Preferred previous experience in an Acute Care hospital setting.
- Experience in Ventilator Management is preferred.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
