Position Overview:
We are in search of a highly qualified Fuel Economy Engineer to become a member of our Vehicle Homologation & Compliance division.

This role is pivotal in overseeing fuel economy certification processes, which are crucial for managing the additional work stemming from the growing complexity of our products.

This presents an exciting chance to engage in pioneering projects within a vibrant and innovative organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management:
Formulate and uphold detailed project work plans, including regular progress updates to guarantee smooth project execution.

Prototype Coordination:
Work in collaboration with Ford to oversee prototype vehicle and component requirements and their availability.

Instrumentation Support:
Ensure effective communication and confirmation of vehicle instrumentation needs.

Mileage Break-In:
Partner with MPG to implement vehicle mileage break-in procedures.

Fuel Economy Testing:
Create test requests
Analyze test results
Manage vehicle updates, reflashes, and troubleshooting as necessary
Provide support for cross-functional meetings
Supervise catalyst bench aging

Regulatory Compliance:
Compile and submit testing and supporting documentation to the EPA as required.

EPA Testing Support:
Assist with any confirmatory testing mandated by the EPA.

Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, Industrial, or a related discipline).
3-5 years of experience in the automotive sector, focusing on fuel economy testing and vehicle homologation.
Thorough understanding of industry standards and regulations (US, EU, China) concerning vehicle fuel economy and emissions testing.
Expertise in project management and data analysis.
Strong interpersonal abilities to foster relationships with internal teams and external partners.
Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
Capability to work autonomously and manage multiple projects concurrently.
