Automotive Systems Engineer

This role presents an exciting opportunity for a driven individual in the field of vehicle engineering, focusing on vehicle integration attributes. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that our vehicles meet stringent requirements and deliver exceptional quality to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the vehicle program team to ensure compliance with water management standards, including water wading, car wash, and under-hood water management.
  • Perform CAD evaluations to verify that early designs align with water management criteria.
  • Conduct comprehensive vehicle-level testing to validate vehicle programs.
  • Facilitate cross-functional teams to address issues identified during CAD assessments or physical evaluations.
  • Report on attribute status during vehicle program milestones.
  • Identify root causes and resolve quality issues related to water management.
  • Understand customer expectations, document lessons learned, and refine processes and requirements as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • 2-5 years of experience in automotive engineering, including internships.
  • A strong passion for automotive systems and an understanding of how vehicle systems operate.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to independently tackle complex challenges and make prompt decisions.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks effectively while prioritizing responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to create impactful presentations quickly.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience in cross-functional leadership, project management, and systems engineering is advantageous.

Educational Background:

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering from a reputable institution, with a GPA of 3.0 or higher; a master’s degree is highly preferred.
