Job Overview

Position: Vehicle Efficiency Engineer for Compliance and Certification

Location: 100% Onsite

This engineering role entails primary responsibility for overseeing fuel efficiency certification processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Establish and update project timelines, ensuring consistent progress tracking.
  2. Facilitate coordination of prototype vehicle and component requirements and their availability.
  3. Assist in the communication and validation of vehicle instrumentation needs.
  4. Work alongside proving grounds to implement vehicle mileage break-in procedures.
  5. Conduct fuel efficiency evaluations, which include:
    1. Generating test requests
    2. Analyzing data
    3. Managing vehicle updates, software reflashes, and troubleshooting as necessary
    4. Supporting cross-functional meetings as needed
    5. Coordinating catalyst bench aging processes
  6. Compile and submit testing documentation and supporting materials to regulatory bodies as required.
  7. Assist with any confirmatory testing mandated by regulatory agencies.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline
  2. Experience in fuel efficiency homologation and compliance processes.
