Position Overview:

The Sales Growth Consultant plays a crucial role in expanding Visual Comfort's market presence and achieving designated sales objectives within their assigned territory. This position emphasizes the identification and collaboration with new clientele while nurturing relationships with current customers. As a pivotal sales role, it is responsible for driving substantial growth for the organization. Key clientele includes residential builders, interior design professionals, architects, home technology specialists, and electrical contractors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all facets of the sales cycle, utilizing various sales, marketing, and operational resources to support solution development and execution.
  • Engage with existing and prospective clients; conduct 16 in-person sales meetings weekly.
  • Effectively communicate Visual Comfort's value proposition to influence customer decisions.
  • Establish networks with architects, builders, and designers through active participation in trade organizations.
  • Manage relationships with current customers to ensure retention and promote ongoing sales growth.
  • Utilize proprietary CRM software to maintain a priority-driven schedule with both existing and potential clients.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of Visual Comfort's product range, service offerings, and operational systems.
  • Analyze and interpret data to inform strategic decision-making.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a consultative sales environment.
  • At least 1 year of experience in custom home building products, interior design, luxury furnishings, or the lighting sector is required.
  • A Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) is preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in building relationships and meeting sales targets.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
  • A genuine passion for the design and construction industries.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making capabilities.
  • Self-motivated, proactive individual dedicated to providing outstanding service to clients.
  • Ability to achieve results independently and collaboratively, fostering teamwork and cooperation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including word processing, presentations, spreadsheets, and Outlook. Experience with CRM systems is advantageous.
  • Ability to comprehend and adapt to complex distribution channels.
  • Skilled in quickly establishing rapport and credibility with clients.
