Position Overview
The Sales Consultant plays a crucial role in delivering engaging sales presentations to prospective clients, either face-to-face or through virtual platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and cultivate self-generated leads and schedule appointments with potential clients.
- Conduct in-home sales presentations tailored to the needs of prospective customers.
- Achieve established sales targets as determined by the sales management team.
- Develop and implement effective self-generation sales strategies.
- Assess customer knowledge and requirements, fostering strong, long-lasting relationships.
- Accurately document and report outcomes using our CRM system.
- Facilitate a seamless transition of post-sale activities to other departments by providing comprehensive customer information.
- Deliver an exceptional customer sales experience from initial contact through installation and beyond.
- Manage the sales pipeline from prospecting to installation by diligently following up on leads and consultations.
- Prepare for client meetings by creating proposals, anticipating objections, and confirming appointments.
- Participate in mandatory training sessions and adhere to Sunrun's sales processes.
- Stay informed about the latest developments in the solar industry by attending meetings, events, and training sessions.
- Engage in proactive lead generation activities as defined by the local market.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of one year of sales experience.
- For positions in specific regions, a relevant sales license may be required.
- Demonstrated success in sales and/or lead generation.
- Experience in in-home or solar sales is preferred.
- Access to high-speed internet and proficiency in Google Suite and CRM tools, with Salesforce experience being advantageous.
- Willingness to travel within the local market, with flexibility for virtual selling.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams to meet customer needs.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to travel to and from customer locations.
- Capable of entering and exiting a vehicle multiple times throughout the day.
- May require standing for extended periods while engaging with customers.
