Role Overview:

We are seeking a qualified Semiconductor Lead Equipment Engineer to oversee the Thin Singulate Equipment Engineering team. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing various semiconductor processing tools within the Thin Singulate Work Center. This includes equipment such as bonding apparatus, plating systems, scribe and break tools, and chemical processing units. A strong background in vacuum, exhaust, electrical, electro-mechanical, and RF/microwave systems is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Engage in continuous improvement initiatives, focusing on SPC and FDC controls for critical manufacturing inputs.
  2. Ensure optimal equipment performance by addressing hardware and software issues, while leading a team of indirect employees.
  3. Participate in emergency response efforts as needed.

Required Qualifications:

A University Degree in a relevant field with a minimum of 5 years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing equipment maintenance, or an advanced degree with 3 years of related experience. Alternatively, 9 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience in maintaining and troubleshooting semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
  • Understanding of SPC/FDC controls and the ability to implement control plans for new equipment.
  • Experience leading teams across multiple shifts.
  • Ability to manage vendor and supplier interactions effectively.
  • Proficiency in reading schematics and technical drawings.
  • Familiarity with basic electronic testing equipment and hand/power tools.
  • Capability to organize and execute projects independently or collaboratively.
  • Experience working in clean room environments.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Availability for support during equipment shutdowns and startups.
  • Knowledge of SEMI 10 semiconductor standards.
  • Experience as a hands-on Equipment Maintenance Technician/Engineer.
  • Commitment to environmental health and safety protocols.
  • Technical military training or experience is a plus.
