Role Overview:

We are seeking a qualified Semiconductor Lead Equipment Engineer to oversee the Thin Singulate Equipment Engineering team. The ideal candidate will possess the expertise to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair various semiconductor processing tools within the Thin Singulate Work Center. This includes equipment such as bonding apparatus, plating systems, scribe and break tools, wet chemistry tools, and grinders. Proficiency with vacuum, exhaust, electrical, electro-mechanical, RF/microwave, and chemical systems typically utilized in semiconductor operations is essential. A solid educational background combined with relevant experience is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Engage in continuous improvement initiatives, particularly focusing on Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Fault Detection and Classification (FDC) to enhance manufacturing process inputs.
  2. Ensure equipment readiness by implementing corrective measures for hardware and software issues, while leading a team of indirect employees in the work center.
  3. Support the Emergency Response Team (ERT) as needed.

Essential Qualifications:

A University Degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing equipment maintenance, or an advanced degree with 3 years of related experience. Alternatively, 9 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
  • Understanding of SPC/FDC controls with the capability to implement control plans for new equipment.
  • Ability to lead a multi-shift team effectively.
  • Experience in managing vendor and supplier interactions.
  • Proficiency in reading schematics and technical drawings.
  • Familiarity with basic electronic testing equipment and common hand/power tools.
  • Strong organizational skills for project completion, both independently and within a team.
  • Experience working in a cleanroom environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Availability during equipment shutdowns for support.
  • Knowledge of SEMI 10 semiconductor standards.
  • Prior experience as a hands-on Equipment Maintenance Technician/Engineer.
  • Commitment to environmental health and safety protocols.
  • Technical military training or experience is a plus.
