Position Overview:
The Sales and Customer Support Representative plays a crucial role in the Hertz Local Edition team, acting as the face of the brand and ensuring customers receive the quickest, simplest, and most valuable service possible. This role is commission-based, where the representative delivers exceptional customer service while effectively promoting Hertz products and services to fulfill the travel and insurance replacement needs of our clients.

Compensation:
The starting pay for this position is $17.50 per hour, with an additional $2 Summer premium for all hours worked between May 31st and September 5th.
Additionally, a $2000 Sign-on Bonus is available, distributed as follows: $500 at 30 days, $500 at 60 days, $500 at 90 days, and $500 at 120 days.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Effectively communicate and promote additional products and services to enhance the customer’s travel experience.
  • Focus on sales and revenue maximization for core offerings, including options to waive damage responsibility, fuel options, and vehicle upgrades.
  • Meet personal sales targets while supporting team objectives.
  • Operate in a dynamic sales environment, delivering helpful, quality service and sales to improve the customer’s rental experience.
  • Convert inquiries into reservations and rentals.
  • Create a positive customer service atmosphere by understanding and addressing customer needs.
  • Engage with customers in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring overall satisfaction.
  • Maximize revenue opportunities by actively soliciting business after every rate quote and addressing customer objections.
  • Assist customers with various post-rental inquiries related to the rental and billing processes.
  • View every customer interaction as a sales opportunity and solicit reservations during service calls.

Required Skills and Experience:
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with proficiency in English. Candidates fluent in additional languages are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications:
  • A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Capability to drive and operate vehicles.
  • Fluency in English.
  • 1-2 years of experience in customer service and sales.
