Job Overview

The Guest Services Representative plays a crucial role in providing exceptional service to our guests. This position involves welcoming and registering guests, ensuring a pleasant experience throughout their stay, and efficiently managing the guest's account upon departure. Key responsibilities include: checking in guests, adjusting reservations, and performing concierge and hotel operator tasks. Our aim is to deliver attentive, courteous, and efficient service to all guests from the moment they arrive until their departure.

Key Responsibilities

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in hospitality or a related field is advantageous.
  • Exhibit a positive demeanor and a strong commitment to providing excellent customer service.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, pay attention to detail, and solve problems effectively.
  • Clear communication skills are essential.
  • Capable of performing well under pressure.
  • Proficient in identifying, preventing, and resolving workplace issues.
  • Strong listening skills to understand and address concerns raised by guests and colleagues.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Contribute to creating a positive work environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Engage with guests and team members in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, adhering to uniform guidelines.
  • Ensure regular attendance as per the scheduling needs of the hotel.
  • Efficiently handle requests for information, mail, and messages.
  • Respond to guest inquiries regarding hotel services, facilities, and operational hours.
  • Provide information about local attractions, dining, and transportation options.
  • Foster effective communication and teamwork with colleagues across departments.
  • Stay informed about rates, packages, and special promotions; understand in-house groups and restricted dates.
  • Gather necessary information when processing room reservations and follow established procedures.
  • Be knowledgeable about emergency protocols as required.
  • Effectively operate all relevant components of the Front Desk computer system.
  • Utilize proper communication etiquette when using two-way radios with team members.
  • Maintain an up-to-date understanding of property amenities and local events.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned, which may include assisting colleagues in other hotel areas and ensuring cleanliness and safety throughout the property.
