We are seeking to appoint a part-time Instructor for the upcoming academic year to deliver a graduate-level course in statistics, contingent upon funding availability.

Teaching Responsibilities:

We are in search of an exceptional instructor capable of engaging with the diverse student population within the School's doctoral program. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to effectively teach students from various economic, racial, and cultural backgrounds, particularly in a minority-serving institution. This includes demonstrating racial literacies and employing culturally sustaining pedagogical practices.

The instructor will be responsible for teaching the Advanced Multivariate Analysis course (ED 216A) to graduate students enrolled in the Education and Clinical, Counseling, and School Psychology programs. Key topics will encompass applied statistical modeling techniques pertinent to multivariate data, including graphical representations, measures of central tendency, variance, associations among multivariate data, multivariate normal distributions and their implications for applied modeling, as well as data reduction methods such as principal component analysis, canonical correlations, cluster analysis, discriminant analysis, MANOVA, and repeated measures designs.

The teaching methodology should be tailored to the needs of applied social science students, emphasizing the selection of appropriate multivariate methods, execution of models, interpretation, and presentation of results. The focus will be on the practical application of multivariate statistical techniques in educational and psychological research.

General Duties/Responsibilities:

Responsibilities will encompass comprehensive course preparation and delivery, including lectures, exam preparation and grading, holding office hours, advising students, and supervising teaching assistants or readers if applicable.
